By accessing or using Unmask (the "Service"), including our Chrome extension and website at unmask.travel, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Unmask is a tool that analyzes hotel reviews from Booking.com, Expedia, and Hotels.com using artificial intelligence to provide adjusted ratings, summaries, and comparisons. The Service is provided free of charge.

3. Use of Service

The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise authorized in writing.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without our prior written authorization
• Copy, scrape, or republish AI-generated content from the Service without permission
• Misrepresent or misuse AI-generated content for unlawful or misleading purposes
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or harm the Service or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in ways not intended
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze and summarize hotel reviews. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors
• Summaries are based on publicly available reviews and may not reflect all aspects of a hotel
• The Service provides information for reference only and should not be your sole basis for booking decisions
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content

5. Third-Party Content and Links

The Service analyzes reviews from third-party hotel booking sites (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com). We do not:

• Control or endorse the content on these third-party sites
• Guarantee the accuracy of reviews or information from these sites
• Have any affiliation with hotels mentioned in reviews

Our website may contain affiliate links to hotel booking sites. If you make a purchase through these links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This does not affect our analysis or recommendations.

6. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

The Service, including its design, features, code, and content (excluding user-generated and third-party content), is owned by Unmask and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Rights

You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your inputs (hotel searches, review analysis requests) solely to provide the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UNMASK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service
• Damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated content or hotel review analyses

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED $100 USD.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unmask from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of third parties

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.

11. Modifications to Service and Terms

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice
• Update these Terms at any time by posting revised Terms with a new "Last updated" date
• Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and ceasing to use the website.

Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you will immediately cease.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiations between the parties
2. If negotiations fail, binding arbitration in Oslo, Norway

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Unmask regarding the Service.
